Replacing IKey

when you replacing or purchasing Ikey, is there a code that u need to give the dealer before they can make more Ikeys? or do u just bring ur old one and they can figure it out?

Either, the dealer can look up the key code and cut it or they can trace cut the key off the original.

Are you talking about the entire FOB, or just the physical key?

If you are replacing the physical key, they can just cut it off your old one.

If you are replacing the entire thing, you will need either 1 of your keys (assuming you still have one), or you need that little metal number plate that came with your keys - if you don't have that, you are going to have a fun time getting new keys, as the whole system will need to be reprogrammed.

New keys can run you upwards of $400.
