There are security screws holding the cylinder assembly that need to be either drilled out or rotated with a sharp punch and a hammer. But before you replace it, make sure the problem isn't worn-out keys and not a worn-out cylinder. Visit the dealer and have a new "steel key" made using the original key code instead of "tracing" an existing key. If you find the code-cut key works easier than your existing ones, the fault is the keys and not the cylinder.

The car has 44,000 miles on it as it was driven by my grandmother so I don’t think the keys are worn out. It is a great suggestion though. The dealership did some work for her on it last year and I think it’s now just that the cylinder is kaput.
