Hey guys I was wondering, is it possible to keep the bose speakers of a 2000 nissan maxima with the stock bose amp while replacing the head unit and adding a mono amp to power a new subwoofer? I like to hear deeper notes and bass is always nice so I wanted to add a subwoofer.

As of now I have only decided on the sub I like

Alpine 10" type R (not sure which one because I dont know what amp yet): http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-e...y=SUB

any ideas on what amp and stereo (ipod ready plz?) i should get? Again if what i said above is possible, i would like the amp to power only the subwoofer unless there's a better combination. Im kind of a noobie and just dont want things to get too messy and mess with the speakers.

Im open to other setups (preferably simple and less than $600) but would really like to have a sub with 350W rms or above.

You can check out some of my for sale items in my signature. I have everything you need on sale right now. I don't really stock Alpine subs, but I stock a load of JL Audio subs and will give you a great price on those also. You just need a Peripheral SVEN4 interface and the SVHNI2 harness for the Maxima in order to add a head unit. You will then just run your sub amp to the RCA subwoofer out on your new radio. I have all the Alpine head units on sale also. Just let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Toby
