I am getting a carbon fiber hatch and I have not been able to find information on removing the hatch glass and replacing it in the new hatch. I would like to know if anyone knows how to do this, I want to do it myself instead having to pay someone to do it for me.

Thanks

I think it would be worth the money to have someone else do it, however if you wanted to go all the way i would recommend getting a lexan one.

the carbon fiber is more more rust prevention and asthetics than weight reduction. Is lexan as clear, because this is a daily driver more than anything else.

You have to use lexan. Glass is too heavy for a carbon fiber hatch it will f your new hatch up

Is there a company that makes a molded piece of lexan that will fit in a 240. I don't have the means to mold one myself? I would really rather put the original glass back in the new hatch, I guess I really just want to know if the original glass will work in a carbon fiber hatch?

And so I qoute myself. I'm being dead serious man... Don't let my post count fool you... Been playing with 240s a long time.

..... In 6 years of being on car forums I've never had to qoute myself on an answer to a question i answered in the beginning of said thread... Pretty sad I had too.
