So I have read several threads where people were installing HID kits or retro fitting their headlights. I thought about it, but I really rather have the OEM xenon set. I have been checking with some places where you can pull the parts as well as looking online trying to get a good price on a set. My question is what wiring changes would I have to make? I cannot imagine it would be a simple matter of switching out the assemblies and plugging into the new ballast. I would assume there would be some wiring changes that need to be made.

Also I know the models that have them factory installed have the adjustment option, what would I need to get to make that work?

I appreciate any help on this.

I have been researching the same for the Versa, OEM Xenon lights. In the Versa/Tiida case, there is a sub-harness on the headlamp that will need to be wired to the Versa harness. I assume the Rogue would be the same set-up, but I'm not sure. You would just need to decipher the wiring and wire the lamps to the harness. Should be pretty easy. Is there and OEM Xenon option for the Rogue?

Yes there is definitely a factory Xenon option. I can get them for around $560 each new, but I have a couple of leads at some parts places so I wanted to see if I could find some wiring information.

That's what I have right now...Xenon factory headlights. All I had to do is to modify the connector. I bought the H11 adapter and connectors from infinity g35 on ebay for ballasts. So I didn't have to cut any wires except the adapter. The problem with adapter it will connect to your stock H11 wire but it will not work with connector of the ballast. That's why you will have to modify it. I just soldered it together and installed. Worked like plug-n-play. Then it is optional but you might want to install the switch to adjust the headlights. It is about $60 at the dealership but I didn't install it.Here's the connectors: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories And adapter: http://www.ioffer.com/i/Xenon-...85671

Yes, OEM HID's are available on the Rogue. They are part of the AWD Premium Pack on US models. Canadian models never got HID's.

I know xenon is illegal in Canada and I don't know for what reason but here's your chance to install factory xenon lights without any modification to wires and they will aligned right...not like aftermarket xenon. I got a used set of headlights for $300 shipped with ballasts but no bulbs.

Nissan Canada just chose not to offer HID's on the Rogue. OEM HID's are legal and readily available on several Nissan and Infiniti models in Canada. Our headlight standards in Canada are also aligned with those in the USA.

The only HID's that are illegal are retrofit kits. This is the same for the US.

IMHO, if you perform the Retrofit like Leo2005 did and use the OEM HID housings which are properly aimed, there should be no reason to be fined or deemed to have 'illegal' headlamps.
