That's a lot for one day trust me. But the pump is the easiest then IAC then TB then EGR.

Be careful with the screws holding the fuel pump assembly to the top of the tank. Use the right screwdriver so you don't strip any.

New fuel pump o-ring? New TB and IAC gaskets?

Or use 8 mm wrench or socket.

Read Tangalora's excellent posts in IOM on the fuel pump.

If you don't have a TB gasket, you can't remove it and truely and thoroughly clean it.

Then there is the matter of the plenum, EGR and IAC valves, and the lower runners.

Did you do the job the NICO/Correct way:

Remove tank and clean it out then reinstall with new fuel pump.

Hopefully you at least inspected the tank?

You also must replace the fuel filter.

Turn the engine over about 10 seconds immediately before you replace the fuel pump fuse and start the car.

Welcome to NICO! (Unless you're one of those "T" fans coming to Columbia in two weeks... then there's an extra step in the process... "inspect inside of fuel tank with lighted match" )

Read the codes that triggered the check engine light and report back, otherwise we are shooting in the dark

Wrong Spark Plugs!

RTFSM!

AAMCO and Cottman are undertakers for transmissions.

There is nothing wrong with using the NGK Iridium Spark plugs. Unless you can tell me why specifically with documented proof that these plugs are any better or worse than the OEM. I understand using Bosch or unknown brands which are complete crap for any car, but unless you know anyone who has had problems with these specific plugs please let me know.

I completely understand that OEM parts are the best choice for most replacement parts, but I don't see how these could be any worse than the platinum plugs; these plugs are about half the price of OEM.

The V45DE combustion chamber was specifically designed aroudn the PFRG.

The NGK iridium is acutually a downgrade. Read the design materials at NGK website.

OMG...you've got to be kidding.

SanCarlos, don't worry about it the NGK Iridium's will perform spectacularly. The only spark plug design criteria the combustion chamber cares about is it's heat range. The biggest difference the electrode material (copper, platinum, or iridium) makes is durability or longevity.

Iridium is a harder material compared to the others with a higher melting point. Therefore, you can make the center electrode smaller and it should be easier to ignite (requires less voltage). They will last longer and provide better ignition of the air/fuel mix. There is a reason why most auto manufacturers have switched to Iridium.

As long as you've got the correct heat range plug for the VH, and if you are using NGK BKR5EIX-11 or IFR5E11 you do, then you're good.

While the NGK Iridium may not destroy the cylinder like the Champions and Bosch, they are indeed the incorrect plug and will not perform as well as the OEM specified Laser Platinum. The core construction is quite different. There is no reason to use any other plug!

And neither are you. I don't need to read every previous post on the subject to know what I'm talking about. I do this stuff for a living and have for quite some time. What makes you the expert?

Iridiums are NOT the OE plug but that doesn't mean they are worse. Spark plugs ignite the mixture in the combustion chamber and absorb heat from it.

Are you going to try and tell me that all those people that run Iridium spark plugs in there VH-powered race vehicles are loosing performance? I suppose people that have headers, exhaust, cold air intakes, ECU reprogramming, and other mods done to there VH powered cars are also making less power?!

I bet that quad turbo VH you posted is using Iridiums! Regardless, they are the new standard the industry as a whole is using. BTW I updated my signature for you.
