Putting fuel pump back in tank, it didnt want to sit flush. I took it back out and there is a circular wall in the bottom of the fuel tank. Does the pump assembly go inside of this circle? It wants to go to the right of it and sits on top of this "wall" keeping the assembly from going flush. Thanks

If a G50, read Tangalora's excellent posts on replacement.

i did mine not so long ago ( 3 weeks ago). i had the same problem.. putting it back,,, make sure it sits right on the center and put back in first the fuel gauge sensor (the one with the floating plastic thing-- you'll know what im talking about) make sure it points towards the side of the fuel cap. good thing about removing the rear sundeck, you can manuever the whole assembly in all planes.

you can do it man.....

No, just let the system pressurize. New O ring? OEM pump?

How long since you replaced your filter?

Something is weird if the pump is running but you have no pressure.

Don't know if it is possible to miswire it so it sucks.

make sure of the TO and FROM hoses.... i made a mistake before it didnt run too and figured out when i changed the fuel filter, i have it the other way-- so there's no fuel going to the rail.....while in there if you can change those fuel hoses, that's the best time to do it.... i used a gates fuel injected hoses sae - 9? (not sure with the rating but most likely it sound like that ?) some suggested GOODYEAR but when i was doing it goodyear fuel inject hose is not available in my area....

SAE 30 R9. No less!

Buy from Joe as it is not usually available in metric dimensions.

that's definitely true.....a METRIC sized any-hose is a must for the G50, but you can also use standard size just make sure it's really tight (but not recommended --- i had the problem with the vac hose leak using standard size)

Yeah i bought from JOe.

I was thinking maybe I had the fuel lines crossed. BUt one is about 6 inches longer than the other. THat one has to go to the valve thats further away, right?

Im gonna go ahead and change fuel filter.

Thanks for the help.

Well, take a deep breath of fresh air and think about it.

The fuse must be in if the pump is running, so that's not it. Gas cap is on so the tank is pressurized. New fuel filter is in the correct orientation?

Apparently + is Red and - is black.

Good luck!!

Great! It's always something simple and non-obvious when one is doing it.
