Replacing front axles

The axle boots have been torn for a while and now the driver side axle makes noise when i turn left. I was going to just replace the boots, but I figure since the boots have been torn for a while i mights as well replace the axles instead. How to I remove the wheel and replace the axles? are there any speacial tools required? can some one give em a step by step instruction on replacing the axle or direct me to a site that I can find this info.

I would just bring it to the Nissan dealer, but they charge almost $95 an hour labor.
