Is there anyone out there that knows how to replace the "Engine By Pass Hose" on a 1990 Nissan Pick up with a Ka24E engine  I can barely see it right underneath the " Fuel Regulator" using a flashlight. The only reason I knew it was there was because on a cold winter morning start up, I noticed a small amount of anti freeze leaking on the Deck ( Floor ) I have a strange feeling that this is an OEM hose that has never been replaced. :ohno: Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Best access to the hose is to remove the power steering pump and set it aside. You only have to remove the belt and the 4 bolts holding it to the block. Leave the hoses on and just tuck the thing out of the way.

Okay I located that "By Pass Hose " right behind the "Power Steering Pump" like you said. Unfortunately that's not the one that was leaking. This is a bit more difficult to locate, and I should have been more specific when I first mentioned it. This hose is located more like, under the "Intake Manifold" If you shine a flashlight right below the " Fuel Regulator " there's an opening between the "Intake Manifold" ports, and you can barely see part of the hose and the " OEM " clamp. That's the one that was leaking,....and that's the one I was talking about. Will certainly appreciate your feedback on that.

Hmm, I think I know which one you are talking about. It's in a suck location and might still require the removal of the p/s pump and the alternator to get access to it. The other thing I would look at is how well you might be able to get to it from the wheel well. Either way that's a tough spot to do any hose work.

Since it's a hard spot to reach, have you done yours ? And if you did, can you let us in on your procedure on how to get to it. Thanks.
