replacing driver side window motor how hard is it?

very simple. you can look in the fsm to see how to do it, i mean i could write it down but it's really simple.

I'm sure they are a little different on the 01's but it was cake on my 3rd gen.

Pop off the door panel...take out the assembly and replace!!!

Good luck though...the FSM is a good starting point!!

Take lotsa pictures and make a little write-up!!!

do i have to buy it with the regulator or will jut the motor do and use the old regulator? also are the motors they sell at autozone any good?

Well depending on how much more the whole assembly is...I'd just go with that.

Mine were only 20 bucks more and now I don't have to worry about something else going wrong!!!

Of course the motor only did seem like it would be pretty easy to change out.

Now I bought mine online but I'm sure Autozone's would work fine. Its not like they make performance window regulators...

i got the whole thing - runner and motor - off ebay for about $30 shipped. easier to replace the whole thing than just track or motor.
