Hi, all I'm a newbie needing help...just joined and this is my first post. Recently purchased a 1999 QX4 (not 99.5 model) and need to change the radiator overflow tank. I used the diagram from the FSM manual to remove the radiator grill and headlight. The old tank fell apart and was easy to remove. However, can't get the new tank behind the bumper to install. I have a Haynes manual for Pathfinder/QX4, but the reservoir is different on my vehicle. I really don't want to remove the bumper. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

I just looked at my Chilton manual and it just says to remove the grille and headlight like you did, and you can pull it in and out. They're usually pretty on the money about this sort of thing, so there's probably a way to do it. That being said, I remember trying to pull mine out too and not being able to, though I'm not sure if I removed the headlight when I did.
