hey all, I just found out that my 01 Maxima doesn't have plug wires. New one on me. Anyways, i have been checking on prices and see they are not cheap. But Advance Auto has a kit with all 6 coils in it for $79 total. anyone ever use this kit? think it will be ok to use. the coils have never been changed in it, has 110K on it and i am doing a tune up. Thanks

Ignition coil is not a maintenance item and only replaced as failed. OEM spark plugs are good up to 105K miles but most owners replace them at 60K/90K miles. Have you done transmission service - pan drop and ATF flush?

I also have doubts about it so I steered him away from it. Some car parts stores are even selling spark plug wires to Maxima/I30 owners, duh. OEM coil, depending on location has an MSEP @ $100 and discounted price at IoS is @ $80. The cheapest ignition coil I've seen online for that Maxima model year is @ $30 EACH.

my vote for ignition coils are BWD from Oreily's http://www.oreillyauto.com/sit...C0334 also come with a LLW, so if it ever fails it will be replaced

That kit is probably just a set of CoP (Coil on Plug) boots. I've seen it more than once. That's why those window lickers work atAZ or O'rielly's because, well, they're window lickers.
