Replacing Catalytic Converters on a 2006 M45.

Looking for thoughts on replacement converters. Dealer said $1800 per side. Anyone have thoughts on replacement parts that can easily bolt on?

Aftermarket support for this engine isn't anything to write home about, which includes those CAT-integrated exhaust manifolds.

The early version of the engine had some support in the way of MagnaFlow units. They are labeled Federal and I saw other units on ebay for about 500 bucks each. Unfortunately I don't know of a single person that has reported using any non-OEM manifolds, so I can't push any recommendations even if manifolds compatible with the 06 M45 have been developed.

Do both of your manifolds need attention? What happened to them/ any engine trouble codes?
