I'm replacing my outer cv boot on my 96 maxima. The nut to remove the spindle seems to be frozen. It is a right handed thread? Any sugestions?AZ Duke

Nope.Regular old thread direction. Try hitting it with some rust penetrant. Honestly, it's less of a PITA if you just replace the entire half shaft.

A remanufactured axle can be had at an Autozone, Advanced Auto, Pepboys, etc for around $75.00. And it is a bolt out and bolt in affair. Rebuilding CV axles with new boots sucks. Even though it isn't that big of a pain ot actually do the labor, it is VERY messy and sometimes quite difficult to knock the CV axle back onto the shaft when asembling it.
