Just don't break your brake pedal in the process...KimberKenobi wrote:but you do have to remove the cover for the break pedal...
I have heard from people that the reason most performance pedals are metal is because you can feel it through your shoe better than the rubberized-made-for-comfort pedals. This is supposed to give you superior feedback and more precise control when you drive.Adiaz360 wrote:ok i swear i'm not trying to be a smart A$$, but besides the overall look of the after market peddles, is there any real point of changing out the peddles. Just curious...

Sounds like a load of crap to me. I suspect it's just for appearance and those changing them are attempting to justify a purely cosmetic decision. Kind of like how I tell people that my spoiler really makes my rear wheels stick to the ground (on a front wheel drive car) and gives me better traction and handling at high speeds. What it really does is look pretty.monkeybear wrote:

I tell people that my rims are lighter than the stock wheels and decrease the rotational mass needed to turn them thus increasing my speed. What they really do is save me from having to constantly check for missing hubcaps.marleyfan wrote:

I would agree with monkey. (or do you prefer bear?) the comment was made to illustrate that though there is likely some performance benefit to better rims/tires, the true benefit is actually cosmetic, just like most other mods that people do. (just like marleyfan's spoiler)monkeybear wrote:Your question has already be answered and nobody is bitching at anyone. We are just comparing the pedal modification to other performance mods that are actually mostly cosmetic changes. If this "disturbs" your then perhaps you should get your sense of humor adjusted.
When I first thought that out in my head it sounded MUCH better, hahaGreat White Versa wrote:

I saw this and started laughing... but apparently this was only the beginning...Rockhound wrote:Just don't break your brake pedal in the process...
