replacing belts??
OK I have searched this forum and I could not find any posting covering this , I was just wondeirng if sombody could give me a quick run through on how I can replace the alternator and fan belts on a 96 KA24DE ?? any help would be grealty appreciated.
loosen the single bolts on the tensioner adjusters from the front. then use the adjuster screws from the top and bottom to change the tension on the belt. the alt and power steering pump need to have their pivot bolts loosened to allow movement of the components to release the tension on the belts. the a/c belt should be adjusted by a free floating idler pully lossen the center bolt on that pulley and then use the adjuster screw from the bottom to loosen it.
