I've had an ongoing relationship with P1110 and P1135 (variable camshaft advance) for four or five years.
I've managed to keep it at bay long enough to pass California smog test, but it's getting harder, and the
smog test is coming up in May.

I believe that the root cause is that my 189,700 mile PF's oil pressure is getting low (camshaft advance
is powered by oil pressure). If I can't keep it away to pass, I want to change out the main and rod
bearings in the truck. Anybody out there done this?

Throw in some SAE50 oil for kicks and watch the oil pressure jump to 80+ ??

I have a major P1110 problem aswell, I have an ongoing thread in Infiniti technical and am getting good help diagnosing if you wanna check that thread out

That's plan A. I've already gone from 5W30 to 10W40.

I probably won't see 80 PSI though. If I recall correctly, the pressure relief valve in the oil pump opens at 60 PSI.

Passed California smog inspection today at 193,710 miles. Still on 10W40.
