Replacing and calibrating front camera?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

So I'm an idiot....

2 winters ago a lovely person backed into my EX, scuffed the front bumper and cracked the grille. Last fall I sourced a replacement grille, but decided to wait till after winter to replace it.

Yesterday I put it into storage and brought out my 350z, so thought I'd install the grille and give it a wash. Got it off, and didn't take enough time to logically see how to swap the camera over. 2 easy screws, yet I missed that. Instead, I thought it was smart to unscrew the wire, and maybe that would give me the room needed. Out comes the ribbon, no way I'm every fixing it. So I just ordered a replacement off eBay. One would think it should be plug and play being the same product numbers. But in reading online, I see people need to get the new camera calibrated before the around view system will pick it up. I haven't contacted Infiniti, but I'm sure they'll want too much to do this.

Is there a way to calibrate the new camera myself?

Thanks for your help.

From what I learned regarding Nissan headunits(im new to this, just learnin), you can using a Consult 3 plus to configure the type of camera setup. Then you have to tape up lines on the ground to calibrate the cameras. I botched that up so here is the link to what I am talking about, http://www.nissantechnicianinfo.mobi/ht ... nitor.html

Thanks, I'll take a look at that llink.

In searching, I also found this document that apparently has some info on calibrating the cameras. Haven't gone through it yet, but thought I'd attach it in case it proves useful and people need it in the future.
