Throwing codes: 325/110. I had my maxima diagnosed and checked the wire going to the air intake and it has a voltage problem going to the sensor- 4.8 volts and then it will drop to 0. the air intake has .5 - .6 ohms. the car place recommended to replace the air intake sensor. Note: due to the freeze frame information/numbers, the fuel trims are off and could be caused by carbon build up. (according to tech) Where is my Air intake sensor? Should I go to a Nissan Dealership to get parts? Not sure on this as the car place I took it to wants to charge me 154.00 for part. Tne Nissan store has this part: MAXIMA7/1996 to 6/1998 226300J200 INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR $63.55. IS THIS WHAT I NEED? HELP??????

Code P0325 is for Knock Sensor (KS) while P0110 is for the Intake Air sensor. It's possible that the engine knock is due to the faulty Intake Air sensor. The Intake Air sensor is a thermistor (negative coefficient of thermal expansion, i.e., resistance goes down as temp goes up). If your KS is still original, it's probably due for replacement. You can search on YouTube for 'how to' where a guy "boredmder" (I hope I got it right) has very good posting.

The Intake Air sensor is easy to replace but the KS will require a lot of patience and the right tools. The 98-Federal configuration KS is less difficult to replace than later generation, especially those with CA-emission. Refer to the link below for additional info, starting on page EC-126:
