Replacing alternator in a 95 240sx SE...80 or 90 amp?

Are both the 80 and 90 amp alternators interchangeable? Do all SE's come with the 90? just need to know asap before i order one, thanks

I have a 91 240sx and i just replaced the alternator with a 90 amp the car is running perfect.

90amp is for SEs with foglights. it wont harm you if you put it into a non-foglight car. it will be better anyways with all the aftermarket electronics that a car powers these days.

Be baller and throw a Nissan Quest Alternator. There's a write-up here on NICO. The Quest Alty is 110amp.

That's what I run, just gotta drill the bottom mount holes a little larger.

I just got mine rebuilt to handle a ton if amperage. No messing with the mounting points, or a different belt.

You can get it rebuilt, its not that hard.

I had my alternator rebuilt for a 100 amps at a local shop here in town. Not expensive at all.
