okay so heres my problem, My car decided it was going to break a camshaft. ive never heard or seen of this happening but from my guess the bearings seized and broke it off when it wanted to keep spinning. Any ways it tore up my head metal shavings and chunks taken out of the cam caps and head. I have a friend that has two heads from the newer sr with cooling fins no vvt but they are both taken apart and i know when you take your cams out you have to put each cam cap exactly where it came from but since i dont know what goes where on this new head should i get it machined ? or do anything else i plan on replcaing head gasket too thanks

The caps are numbered for the intake and exhaust side. I would be worried about your bottom end as well with shavings getting everywhere. Also the camshafts have no bearings. Be sure to assemble according to the FSM and always torque in sequence. But essentially I would be just as worried about the bottom end as you are with the head.
