Nissan is offering to cover my five year finance of the Versa with replacement value for $1100 Canadian, or about $18 a month. Is this a good deal, or should I get replacement value with my insurance company? With insurance, it's about $15 more a month, for the first two years. After two years, insuring a car for replacement value costs significantly more than the regular insurance rate.

Any comments/recomendations?

They also offered to extend my warranty to 5years/100,000 km for $1,475, which I am politely declining.

I would say if you go with the replacement value go with insurance company. Its their field of knowledge and you get a better service overall. The dealer will probably take your money and go to some insurance company too - but you can do this yourself.I heard about how dealers dont't actually pay you the whole amount when you get insurance from them - dont know it its true.
