I just recently installed some 22" wheels..

While it looks great at filling the wheel gap.. there is still some front gap I really do not like.. and the rear sits lower than front.. I can't stand it.

I am planning on getting a set of Eibach springs .. but figure I should just go ahead and replace all the shocks at this time..

Anyone know of some good aftermarket shocks to go with with Eibach springs? (Not wanting to go OEM due to price for stock shocks)

I found some KYBs but they dont list them for the SPORT model. Not trying to spend $400 on replacement shocks.. plus ~$300 on springs.. that almost puts me into coil over territory.

What all have you guys done?

Also.. anyone have some Eibach springs they want to sell?

Pics of installed on 22" wheels? Driving impressions?

Thanks for any help you can lend!

Shawn

IMO oem sport struts should be used with Eibach springs because the KYB are much softer when used on the M45.

KYB are great when used with oem (non-sport) or H-Tech springs

KYB's will work...I think they are the most affordable shocks for our cars out there...I really wish the shocks fitment from the G35's fit our cars....they have more aftermarket shocks choices

when my OEM sport shocks were going bad, I replaced them with the KYB (non-sport) at first and I also had the H-techs, then shortly after I swapped them out for the KYB sports (Excel-G). My wheel/tire guy had the KYB rep at that time come in and bring the sport shocks to try on an M, so I got the call :)

I created a post some time ago - here's the link: what-the-f-front-shocks-t527102.html

so far so good...I could tell the difference from the KYB non-sport vs sport. both good, but I like the stiffer feel from the sports. I still have my H-techs and have been going back and forth between getting the Eibachs or coils....

Here's a link that has both sport / non-sport

I am a little nervous about having too stiff of a ride..

I am going with Eibach pro kit.. But what if Iwent wwith the kyb non sport shocks? Instead of the sport specific to kyb's.

Need some advice, I got a non-sport M35 on Tien S.Tech springs. I am looking to replace the shocks. Should I go with KYB non-sport or sport?

I'm actually going to get the Eibachs this week -- should have them installed on Saturday, so I can let you guys know how they ride with the KYB's (sports)...from past experience with Eibachs and sport type shocks, the car will handle fine and won't be harsh. I'm riding on 19's instead of 20's like my other rides in the past, so it should be fine...

How low is your drop now and how is the ride quality with your stock shocks? Aren't the S Techs about the same drop as Eibachs?? I imagine going with the sports.... :gotme

I got my M with 49K, I installed the S tech at 51K, I now have 53K on it. I am running 19" sports rims the drop is pretty low (1 finger gap in front, no gap in the back) but still high enough to go over most speed bumps. Ride has been smooth still feels like stock but handles better.
I know my shocks are still good but I'd like to replace them cuz stock shocks are made for lower springs and I'd like to keep them just in case I ever want to go back to stock.

I am unsure what you mean by this?

I doubt Eibach springs Woukd make me scrape..

And why would the non sport kyb be too soft.. When they are known to be stiffer than sport oem shocks.

you'll see when you install them

you'll need to watch out for your front swaybar and you may want to trim your lower front eng liner

you may also scrape less because your going with 22's

I went with camber bolts for the front when I had H-Tech springs but now that I have coilovers and I'm really low I'll need front camber arms in the near future.

Do you think camber bolts front/rear is sufficient for eibach springs?

Link to some good ones for good prices?

I am nearing coilover territory with eibachs and new sport model kybs
But this is the domino effect im used to with all my other cars haha

Thanks for all your help man

My overall diameter of my wheel/tire is the same as my stock 19s..it sits fairly high off the ground but is rwd.

I just ordered the kyb shocks/struts..

Not sure if you noticed.. But both sport designated and non sport have the same part numbers.. So they aren't any different. Atleast that's what it shows on the kyb listings.

I got all 4.. Shipped for $324.68 on amazon..

Going to order the Eibach springs from autoanything. Com.. For about 225 shipped after 10% rebate from Eibach.
Because I had them beat the price of this link http://www.protuninglab.com/eibach-pro- ... i-m45.html
