looks like the guy parked next to me the other day pulled my rear bumper off as he left the spot - also damaged the black plastic at the back of the inner rear wheel at the mud flap. No way they did not know that they did this. The bumper has some cosmetic damage to it - but it looks like I could reattach it.

Does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket bumper covers ? The front cover was damaged down at the fog light about a year ago - the cover looks fine but the fog light is misaligned. I was told it was not worth trying to fix the cover - cost was about $850.00 to replace.

I have decided to keep the truck and do some work on it but its not worth putting 1600+ to do the two bumpers on it.

Look like a few different brands available also. I could order them up and get them sprayed someplace.

there are pathfinder bumper covers all over ebay for a couple hundred bucks each. Some brand new unpainted, some are even painted.

If you wait & check craigslist / junkyards, you can find even better deals every so often.

Personally, i'd reattach it and call it a day. You know the bumper's just gonna get messed up again if you fix it.

It was the low cost of the e-bay bumpers that got be thinking about the aftermarket replacements.

But..... I don't want to order them up and find out that the bumpers require any work to make them fit correctly -- or some other difficulty painting them.

I recently put new tires/struts/shocks on it as well as a full exhaust - next up is a replacement of all the fluids plus plugs and also front pads/rotors.

The truck is in very nice shape for 130k -- I am the original owner. Other than one small dent the outside is perfect .....same for the leather inside. Its worth something to me to fix it up -- not $1600.00. I have no idea what the cost is to just paint both bumpers -- car is green

hell a lot of the ones on ebay (the ones that are OEM colors & used) are OEM bumpers

aftermarket usually doesnt fit too bad. If there are fitment issues, they are usually so minor that only a trained eye can spot them. I wouldn't hesitate to use an aftermarket bumper cover but i don't think youve seen my current bumper covers (nor do you want to see them - im talking cracks, holes, zip ties, touch up paint in mass quantities, etc)
