Just curious if there is an alternator that will work if the one on my swap is bad.

THE KA24E ONE DIDN'T FIT ON MY RB20DET.... SO IT WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO BE A KA24DE ONE.

email me the PN and i'll let you know. I have a 25 and 20 i can look at but alternators normally vary on types of components in car.

KA24E bolted right up to my RB20 bracket. I just had to cut a little of the slider thing (fear my technicalness).

I did what seva 13 did and used my ka24de alternator...your rb20 alternator bracket should have 2 bolts that connect throu the water pump, take it off and extend the hole at the bottom of the braket kinda upwards and this should allow the bracket to move down to where you can connect your alternator...if it helps put the alternator on at the bottom and only remove the bolt at the bottom and loosen the bolt on top and then move the bracket down then you can see in what dirrection to cut it.
