I have an 06' Inifiniti M35 2wd. The air engine filter is really nasty and needs to be replaced. I cannot, however, find the part # or dimensions for a new filter. If anyone has one or the other it would be greatly appreciated.

Part number is 16546-EG000. You can get it at a dealer or online at

Any thoughts on using an aftermarket like K&N?

From what I understand, a "high performance" filter like K&N increases air flow and increases engine performance. But it actually doesn't filter any better, in fact, it filters less, which is why the air flow is greater (less constricting). So I guess it comes down to what's important to you.

Unfortunately, no longer a Nissan or Infiniti, but continuing here at NICO!

Even more importantly, oiled air filters like the K&N are NOT good for Nissan engines ... micro-droplets of the oil get into the air flow. These micro-droplets that eventually coats the MAF and other sensitive components, and then cause engine misbehavior.

The mostly imperceptible power gains from these kinds of "improvements", that can cause long-term problems, is simply not worth it! Please do a search on the NICO forums, and you will see that most people at NICO will react negatively to the K&N oiled filter products. Due to bad experiences with it.
