Replaceing MAF 01 Pathfinder

I just got a maxima MAF for my pathfinder and I was wondering how difficult it is to replace it myself. Any ideas?

It may take you five minutes, probably less. Locate the wiring harness going into the MAF sensor. Unplug the harness. There are two screws on either side of the plug (on the MAF sensor) where you just unplugged the harness. Remove those two screws and pull the MAF sensor straight out from the intake tube, it may take a little persuading but it will come out. Now just put the new one in its place (in the same orientation of the old one) and replace the two screws. Just plug the harness back into the new MAF sensor and you're finished!

Doesnt the maf come with the tube and everything including sensor?

The small device on the big tube is MAF to be replaced. The big tube is not the critical part. I think you can replace big tube too but it does not help solve anything. It is easier just to replace the MAF only.

Are you sure your MAF is bad? I cleaned MAFs on my RX300 and problem went. I saw the sensor wire wes very dirty as if some epoxy covered the entire wire in the middle. I used some sprays from Fry's to clean it.

Replaced my MAF sensor on the 14th and drove from seattle to phoenix and just got the internet and my pathfinder is running great. Kept the old MAF gonna clean it and save it just in case. Thanks for all the help
