Well i replaced all my rockers with new nissan parts. cleared up alot of the nose, but i still have a tick coming from the valve cover. the only other thing i can think of is that a spring is alowing a small amount of flot off the cam after the lob and thats where i am getting it. but i am stuff unsure, so i am looking for ideas as to my left over sound. thanks

Joe

is it like a rattling coming out of the front of the valve cover at around 3400 rpm? or have you replaced the timing chain ever ?

No its not a ratle, i just rebuilt my engine (less then 1500 miles ago), they used crapy timing chain parts so i already replaced those, and just recently replaced all my lifters. its a tick or tap sound, and its consistant with my engine speed.

make sure it isn't the injectors.... it seems as though nissan (or maybe just side feed?) injectors are notorious for being noisy. hold a screwdriver to it (and other parts such as the valve cover), and place your ear on the end of the handle. makes for a "stethescope like" diagnosis of the sound.

Well its a 90, so they are top feed injectors. is there any posablity that it could be the springs, or am i just way off in left field with that one?
