Hi everyone. I replaced my front struts which is working great, however, the rear struts were replaced with original factory parts and the back is so bouncy. Is this how it's supposed to be?

were they installed properly? its not impossible to blow a strut out when replacing if they're not installed right.

Struts are in the front only. Rear are shocks.

If anyone grabbed the piston rods with a gouging device llike pliers when installing them, they are fini.

Oh no the person installing them knew what they were doing. Actually, when I picked up the shocks, the parts guy at the counter told me don't use pliers or vice grips. I relayed this to my mechanic and he said don't worry I wouldn't do that plus I have the correct equipment to do the install.

Do you guys know if the factory suspension is a tab bouncy in the back? I mean, it doesn't bounce forever, but it's not in any way "tight" like new suspension should be. Maybe I need to get used to a big body car (coming from a lowered Eclipse) but the way I see it, the car is unsafe at higher speeds on these California freeways.

too bad you already did it, the stock shocks make the car way to soft and bouncy for my taste. I did the KYB SR Specials which are around now in the US without special order and it makes the car tight as hell.

I was always thinking the stock shocks were too soft, but unsafe at CA highways speeds no way. Something seems wrong.....

No, 6 -8 weeks lead from memoryfab. Plan ahead.

New rears are not bouncy at all.

Stock springs? If you bought from Joe, call him. Something is seriously wrong.
