While having the tires rotated and balanced, had them check the brakes as by miles since last rear brake job were adding up{ 51,245},sure enough, rear pads were about to hit the wear sensor- replaced with pads I got from Joe- funny, only 1 inner pad in the new set has wear indicator clip-whereas the old pads had one on each wheel{ also factory pads that were done at ther dealer} why the change?

Also, looking over my history,it seems I go through rear pads every 51-54 thousand miles- fronts have always been between 65-68 thousand miles-like clockwork! by the way,2 rebalanced michelin exaltos required NO weight on outside rim, other 2 took 10 grams-after 12,000 miles still wearing very slowly and evenly.

Hah! at least its not a 97-98

Must not be too hard on the brakes if your getting 50k from brakes, then again you do a lot of highway driving, so 50k might be 2-2.5 years, right? Which is about normal IMO.

WOW!!!!! How is that possible? You probably are an "easy" driver, meaning relaxed and calm NOT a leadfoot.

Ditto. Last one was 16K, one before last 18K.

OEM wheels, and plain rotors usually last longer than drilled/slotted and aftermarket or just larger wheels.

My Q has ALWAYS been serviced at Santa Monica and Thousand Oaks since 1999 thru 2001, and 2001 thru now... thus everything OEM on my car except what you see on my sig.

I admit to braking hard sometimes, and gentle modulated braking at 100mph.
