Does anyone know how hot this thing is supposed to get while running? ....if at all?

Just doesn't seem like it should get hot ....just warm.

I actually started to reply to this yesterday, but didn't know what to say... unfortunately I don't have any experience with the control unit. In fact, this is the first failure I have heard of...

That may explain the underwhelming response...

In any case I'm glad to hear your Q's steering is back up in tip-top shape!

Thanks Heath! While testing today I needed to check the ASCD (automatic speed control device (cruise control)) and the plug wasn't on all the way, never touched it, might have finally wiggled a pin or two loose about a year and a half ago and started all of this howling pump/burned fluid/no power assist/diagnostic nightmare. Resulting in me not driving it much or using the cruise control, don't remember any CC issues however..... Hmmm

Maybe a little too much sake in Nov. of '89 caused all of this!I don't think I ever thought of having hot sake with turkey.... Haven't driven it yet but, I'll put it here for posterity when I find out whatever it is.
