After rebuilding the "top" part of my q45s engine it has once again blown up on me. The shop who did the work tells me its the "bottom" part of the engine this time and they did not touch it the first time. So, I am getting the car back and letting it sit in my garage. The question is, should I part it out or try and get rid of it whole? I loved the car but it got replaced by a 2005 300C.

p.s. It is a 1994 q45 130,000ish miles. Was Active but converted it.

Just curious why the top end was rebuilt? And why didn't they look at the bottom end?

That is a great Question. At first they told me it was a headgasket problem. Which started out at $1600 to fix. They take everything apart and call me back and tell me they need to machine aluminum blocks for the engine. So all said and done $3700 dollars later new blocks and they tell me I have a "rebuilt engine". 9,000 miles later going down the highway it dies. I take it back and they tell me it is the "bottom" half of the engine and their warranty will not cover it.

2005 was the last year for the 7/70 warranty. I drove a 300 Touring a while ago and really liked it, except for the cheap interior.

Enjoy the ride. Part out the Q.

Who wants parts tell me where it is and what it is, and I will get pictures as best I can of its condition and a going rate for it. Looks like I will part it out.

I want the whole car....

I am trying to do a swap on my 1990 q to the 94 front end with other mods...

if you want to sell the ride as it is I am down. I will have to come and tow it away obviously. If you don't want to mess wit parting it out.

It is going full black out. Full paint job.

I plan on having it done later on this summer.

I promise not to dissapoint NICO!!!

Let me know.

will your TCU just fit right into my 92 TCU?

I don't like the second gear start. It blows.

Anyone? Are they just plug and play interchangeable?
