I had the fabric replaced on my headliner, pillars, sun shade and visors and now the interior lights will not turn off. If it matters, the headliner is replaced but the pillars and visors are out of the vehicle. Also, the airbag dummy light is flashing. Side note: I had them replace the tan with black throughout and it really looks great. Now to find how to change the color of the plastics from tan to black. Next project...

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like maybe they reversed the polarity of a plug or something, I think I did this once on my Maxima back in the day.

Thanks for the welcome. I just bought an 07 M35S and have found myself trolling the site everyday.
I just went out to the car and the lights are off. So, I'm wondering if it is some sort of notification that the airbag light is on. The shop that did the interior is going to look it over tomorrow, but I figured I'd come out of the dark shadows and actually ask a question. :inout:

If I'm not mistaken, the car has a feature that will shut off certain lights left on after a period of time in order to protect the battery. It still could be an issue. When I dismantled my trunk liner to add sound proofing, the trunk interior lamps shut off after about 20 minutes automatically.

Yeah, 06+ M (including Y51 '11+) the car shuts all electronics off after 20 min or whatever, even radio. Kinda pisses me off because I sometimes like to turn my iPod on in the car when I'm working on like the oil or brakes or something...problem is the car is 6ft in the air on my lift when the power gets cut lol.

I'm happy to say the shop found the issue and fixed it. Apparently there was a very small plug that was not reconnected. It fixed the lights and stopped the airbag light. Thanks for the replies. Now to focus on a full detail, intake and tune.
