Don't laugh I just replaced the head on my 1992 Nissan Axxess AWD ( I must say it is the worst car I have ever worked on). The replacement was because of water in the Oil. I found a crack in the head from a water gallery to the cylinder. I should say that the car ran perfectly and did not burn any oil before the change. Now it still runs perfectly and no water in the oil but when you floor it to pass Blue smoke pours from the exhaust. I didn't remove any lines from the Intake Manifold other than what was needed to remove the head and I am sure I have back in the right place. I changed all the Valve seals so don't think they would be causing it. It seems like when you floor it the oil gets sucked right into the throttle body but when you back off in cruise no oil smoke visible . Do you have any ideas on what I might have screwed up.ThanksMark

If you had the head off for a while with the cylinders exposed to air you can ruin the rings evidently. In school, my teacher told me that he had problems with cars every now and then when the head was off for like a week. The rings would dry up and not seal causing the car to burn oil. His solution was to put oil in the cylinders periodically if the head was off a car to keep the rings wet...

Dunno if you did that?
