I replaced my factory tweeters in my 2006 G Sedan with JL Audio tweeters and they really do sound better. I still have the Bose head unit to keep the factory look. I have a brand new factory tweeter if someone needs one to replace a blown one.

Just curious, are they electrically the same? How about the mounting?

I used the factory plugs and just spliced them into the new tweeters wires. The tweeters have the impedance filters and had the same ohms as the original tweeters. I think it was 4 ohms. The tweeters are larger than the factory ones but I just made a bracket to mount them to the plastic cover. The store that I bought the tweeters from gave me the brackets and said that they would use them if they installed them for me. I only used one screw instead of two but everything clipped back in and you cannot see any difference. No rattles and a big difference in the clarity of the music. I would recommend that everyone make this upgrade. The JL Audio tweeters were the VR series. Retailed for $100 bucks.
