replaced external transmission filter
just picked q up from shop,80.00 labor to replace fuel filter and external transmission canister filter-transmission now chirps the rear tires on the 1-2 shift and car feels twice as fast! .... j/k does this seem to be a fair price for this service?

Yeha that sounds about right, external filter costs about $50 if memory serves.
Fuel filter takes about 15 mins to replace..
Did you replace with OEM or aftermarket..?

Pics Please? I'd like to see how it was done. the external transmission filter was an exact OEM replacement item from joe that came originally installed on all 94-96q- the replacement part includes new hoses and metal bracket,so it could easily be added to the 90-93q to hopefully increase transmission life for early year q.this filter is very similar to an engine oil filter with much finer particle filtration than the filter screen located in the q transmission pan-surprised not many q owners replace this,as it will certainly clog way before the screen ever will.
