I replaced a DOHC engine (1993 s40)and now , can't get it started. Does not have any fire to the coil. Have tried several coils and none get fire to the distributor. I then tried 3 different distributors. Now, I am thinking that the wiring harness that I also put on from a different car is bad.

Does anyone know what tell the distributor to fire? Are there any sensors I may be overlooking?

Check the crank angle sensor, that could be your problem.

You gotta check the voltages with a voltmeter. Refer to the FSM for the proper specs. Also make sure the CAS is oriented correctly.

We are looking at that now. I hope that does it. I'll post one way or the other.
