Boom!!!
I just replaced that hose myself not two weeks ago. I had the exact same problem.......I would have my friend crank the wheel and power steering fluid would squirt all over the place. It's the high pressure line so naturally it would squirt far!
Anyway, the bottom portion was leaking as well at the crimp connection. Nissan wanted something like $90 for it and I said forget that. Don't bother trying to cut and recrimp either. Just purchase a new one......it will probably be good for another eleven years! I went to
http://www.partsamerica.com and ordered it for $40 plus shipping. The hose is an impressive little piece of engineering as it has to connect to the power steering pump on the top, and the fluid hardline at the bottom, while also allowing an insert for a fluid pressure sensor (also at the bottom).
If you need any help with this hose swap at all, feel free to drop me a line. I consider myself the master of power steering plumbing!!
Good luck.
