the z32 upgrade would be the best way to go, search around and try to get a complete kit for around $500 or piece it yourself and either waste more money or save more money.

AEM has some drilled and slotted rotors...they arent too bad for price, and allow you to use stock calipers which make it alot easier to do yourself. i think they also come with new pads but im not sure.

or the Q45 brakes.... under 100 for calipers, you can also get some nice rotors for it. usually a LOT cheaper then the Z32's and just as good. either way, if you want to have major braking power, get bigger brakes

the q45 calipers you can find at a yard or rebuilt at a parts store. the x-drilled and slotted rotors for 100 on ebay for brembos.

i paid 50+shipping for my calipers adn they had pads, so im running those until i get SS lines and new pads and maybe a z32 master cylinder. they also use stock 240 lines, so you dont need custom ones like with z32 brakes. i got my rotors for 35 each (dealer hook up) but they are stock. i can rip apart my front tires fronm like 30+ mph though. all in all, for the basics, its under $200 if you do it right. they also fit nearly every single wheel, including steelies.

you want 90-96 q45 calipers and rotors. also, you might have to redrill the rotors if you dont have 5 lug. its not hard, but it takes some patience and a LOT OF PRECISION!!!!! you can get em predrilled to 4 lug at some sites.

you should be able to decide that after looking at all the post. bigger brake means better braking. don't get me wrong, you can still go with the slotted cross drilled rotor upgrade for the stock one since it would release heat faster, it's just that people have different preference.

you could ask a guy I know named Glen about his Porsche brake upgrade. Looks awesome. He's selling the brackets and you gotta find the rotors and calipers and lines.

I'm sure you guys have seen or at least heard of him. He runs the site stillensucks.com lol.

[email protected] if you're interested

or you could go with real racing brakes from endless. A buddy of mine forked over the 2600 for the 4 pot with inch up option. very nice.

IMO, I think that not doing the ENTIRE upgrade is a waste of money. Why half-a$s it when you could do it right the first time? When I upgrade to bigger brakes, it will be at all four corners with a new master cylinder and proportioning valve. What good is a monster front brake set when you constantly lock them up all the time?

I just purchased Brembo rotors (slotted, cross drilled), KVR pads and Russel braided steel lines for my 91........everything is stock sized replacement. The stopping power and feel is night and day and while it may be a marginal decrease in braking distance, I can brake all day long without fade.

Yes, bigger brakes are awesome and more power to you if you upgrade. Monster front brakes with no rear bias and constant lock up............no thanks.

Hey,

I got my pads, fluid and lines from PDM Racing, but I got the Brembos off E-Bay. Expect to pay about $450 for the goods depending on what you get the Brembos for. I scored them for $150.
