1991 240SX hatchback. Manual windows.

Hey, I thought i would attempt to replace my Passenger Window myself to save cash. First few questions: Where's a good place to aquire a Cheap one? Junk Yard? What are the procedures, bout how long would it take? I've already opened my door a few times to do speaker stuff, but dont remember what the window mechanisms look like.

Finally, would it be cheaper or close to the same price to get one of the window companies to do it?

Thanks.

Cheapest way is to try and locate one at pick-n-pull. The glass comes out by removing 2 bolts holding it to the regulator. In your case just the 2 glass mounts need to be unbolted since the glass is broke. The glass then slides out the top of the door.

OK. I'll look around tomorrow. What price range should I expect? I just want to know a ball park figure so that I dont get shafted.

thanks.

As far as wreckers go picknpull is your cheapest option. probably less then $20 dollars. All their prices are posted on the board when you walk in. If you go to a wrecker that pulls the part for you it will likely be 3 times that.
