Hi all, about to put new shoes on my M37x. From reading it appears the recommendation is to replace them between 50-100k. On my Q45 it was pretty important to replace struts to preserve the ride quality. Hoping the new tires will give a smoother ride than my old Michelin MXV4 tires. Equally, don’t want to trash the new tires if the struts will compromise the ride quality.

No signs of leakage that I can see.

Any thoughts/experience on this?

Finally, only use stock Infiniti struts or are there any good/great aftermarket ones (care most about ride quality).

my SA at the dealer told me it was meant to be a lifetime part. that being said i have driven Q70 loaners and they feel wayyy tighter and more responsive than my 2011 with now 125k on it. you have a couple options. one is go for only shocks. will be the cheapest but most labor intensive. you will have to use a spring compressor to remove the spring and reinstall w new shock. option 2 is buy the strut assembly off carparts website. these are all 3rd party and i cant really vouch for their longevity vs oem. 3rd option would be to switch to some BC coilovers. this would give you the most in the handling department however ride quality might be a bit stiffer depending if you decided to lower the car from factory height.

I wouldn't replace shocks/struts at 90k miles unless they are showing visible signs of age (leaking, cracked mounts, or broken coil spring).
Ride those OE parts for as long as possible.

Mine is about 110k now and shocks still feel pretty good. There's not a lot of choices for aftermarket so old OEM is going to be better than new off brand.

I think these are better than some of the older cars, my 2006 G35x definitely had worn shocks at 100k and I replaced with KYB which were good replacements but dont think they last as long as OE
