replace retractable antenna

My retractable antenna is bent on my 95 Pathfinder (I think there's a reason you dont' see this antenna style any more). I'm capable enough to tinker, but smart enough to not pull things completely apart when I'm not totally sure what I'm doing. Is there an easy way to replace the antenna without taking off the front quarter-panel?

not completely sure but i think you might be able to get to it thru the wheel well
