Hi everyone, i am new to this site. I have a 98 Qx4 with 116K miles and there is a noise coming from the engine near the drive belts/pulleys. It sounds like a faint cricket chirping and seems louder when it is cold out (under 32 degrees). I just replaced the belts and this did not quiet the noise. Is this noise coming from the pulleys mean they need to be replaced? Do i replace the bearings or the pulleys? Anyone with any insight on this please let me know. I appreciate any help! THANKS!

The bearings can be pressed out of the pulley, but they're in there VERY good. With a couple pound sledge and a socket, I couldn't get them out. I have a set of replacement bearings I didn't end up using for a Q45...and I think the bearings are the same size.

Thanks for the reply. Am i best off just replacing the pulleys? Is this hard to do? Do i just replace the tension pulleys or do i have to replace all of them?
