Ok, from what I've read on the boards it seems that I need to replace my pilot bearing. My clutch seems to make a "whirring" sound usually when shifting between 1st and 2nd. Sometimes at idle when I depress the clutch to put it into gear. It's extremely loud when I rev the engine with the clutch depressed. To be sure is that the pilot bearing or something else? I just want to be sure before I go through the trouble of dropping my transmission. If it comes to it what kind of hints could you guys offer on removing my transmission that could make it alot easier? Thanks.

If the noise is present more on shifting, I think it's the throwout bearing instead.

Replace them both while you are in there, trust me on that.

Well the thing is I already put a new throw out bearing in when i replaced the clutch. Do you think I need a new one already? Its only been like 60 miles on the new clutch. I've been super easy on it too.

Did you get your flywheel resurfaced? Cause that could cause vibrations and whirrly sounds if you didn't.

Flywheel is definatly possible.. T/O bearing not seated properly.. worn pilot bushing could allow shaft wobble..

If you just replaced it, you probably dont need to again. If you were just in there recently then you should know about the condition of the pilot bushing.. and if it is POSSIBLE the TO bearing isnt on right.
