replace my heater core for a 96 Infiniti I30

Will it be easy to replace my heater core in my 96 Infiniti I30? all info will be greatly appreciated.

According to the directions in the Chilton's manual, it will not be easy.

It goes something like this:Evacuate A/C system.Drain the cooling system.Disconnect negative battery cable.Disconnect heater hoses from heater core and remove rubber grommets from the heater core.Disconnect A/C lines and rubber grommets.Release clip that hold water control cable, push cable through firewall.Remove lower dash panel and lower steering column. Remove instrument cluster and reinforcing bar.Remove floor heater ducts and brackets.Remove the PCM.Unsnap the duct from the bottom of the heater core housing.Remove the evaporator core housing.Remove bolts holding heater core housing to firewall and remove cables.Pull down and back and twist till it comes out.Replace the heater core.Put everything back together making sure none of the cables bind before you get everything installed.

I followed the instructions listed in your post and am sorry I did. I went to a lot of uneeded work. The heater box does not need to come out. This is all that you need to do:
1. remove heater hoses
2. remove glove box lid
3. Drain A/C unit
4. Remove A/C unit behind glove box
5. Remove plastic elbows that go thru firewall( 8 small screws) screwed to heater core
6. Pop open the clip that holds the heater core in the heater box
7. Slide the heater core out of the heater box
This is a lot simpler than completely removing the heater box as I did.
