Replace fixed antenna mast w/ electric unit?

Are our pathfinders pre wired for installing an electric up/down unit?
I am tired of having to replace broken/bent units from local parking lots.

I have a early production 2001 LE w/6 CD changer/head unit.

Is there perhaps a "DIY" or someone who has done it?

At least some were. See the FSM. And if any were, likely your LE was.

Maybe you need to find better parking lots.
