All they had at the store that fit was a fuel line, which is much softer then the VAC line I removed. I always figured it was stiff because it was old... and thats why it cracked.

Would this fuel line cause my brakes to feel softer because of the vacuum pressure deforming the line?

I know it holds more psi or whatever, but i can squish the fuel line between my fingers, I can't squish my old vacuum line at all. So under vacuum will i be pinching the fuel line shut a little bit? The fuel line is designed to be under pressure from the inside pushing out, in its use now, it will be under pressure from the outside pushing in, like when i pinch it.

This is not correct. The burst PSI on fuel line is more, but the crush rating on vacuum line is greater. Depends on what line and where it is. I have used fuel line as vacuum line with no issue. When I ran my booster off my intake I used heater core hose, no issue.

uh sir you are not correct, cause im running fuel line off my break booster. An goodyear fuel line can actually hold more vaccuum than a vaccuum line thats why alot of people including me rebuild there motors with fuel line.

thanx though

Please look up the rating on lines before you make assumptions.

Vacuum line is rated in by crush strength, the walls are thicker and the rubber is designed not to collapse. Rating for vacuum line are rated in vacuum feet per inch as well an tensile strength at determined bends.

Standard fuel line, is rated in burst PSI as well and constant PSI as well and tensile bend VS constant operating PSI

So bottom line there genius is yes it may work, but there is a reason there are lines rated for vacuum, fuel, EFI fuel, oil, hot water, and ethanol applications for cars.
