Hi. I'm repairing a lousy installation of a soft top on a 69 2000. But the window post interior liners are missing. I know about the three big clamps that attach to the front bow. But someone removed the liners from the front A-pillars that hold the windshield in on each side of the car. Can anyone tell me if there are any parts (including wee ones -- such as washers, rubber fitting, screws, etc. that need to go at the top of each windshield post where it meets the bow? E.g., there are a couple of very small machine screws there, but I don't know what they are supposed to be used for? Or better yet, does anyone have a picture or two of the top of the windshield posts that might show any hardware NOT related to the 3 big clamps -- IF there even is such hardware?

Many thanks,

Ray

I have a 70, I'll see if I can get some pics for you tomorrow.

Just verifying, you are referring to the triangular window assemblies tops?

Hi Ray! I think Andy has you covered... I'm no help, since I have a 67.5, but the exploded view in the FSM might help too: http://www.nicoclub.com/datsun-service-manuals

On my 70, there is no hardware there as the entire sheet metal assembly for the windshield is one piece. There must have been a change between 69 & 70. Maybe a pic of what you are facing would help us (it may be close to a 67 - 67.5).
