Ive got my 240 completely stripped out in the interior right now.

while removing the sound deadening under the passenger seat (dry ice method)

I found two rust holes about the size of tennis balls, right where it looks like plugs should have been (the sound deadening was covering the rotted plug, hole and surrounding rust.)

So, seeing as how I dont have the tools and experience to cut these out and weld in new metal, what kind of cost am I looking at to have a shop do this?

Its also tricky cause i dont have a seat, dash, display, or battery installed to start the car yet. (in process or relocating battery as well)

I fixed most of my rusted floor with resin-fiberglass. If its not a spot were you put big load its fine and wont rust for sure ! My hole was the biggest I've ever seen ! The size of 2 basket ball...! And it was still holding fine when I scrap the car !

Ok, i got an estimate from a local body shop. They actually came to my place to do the estimate.

$264 out the door, cut the holes out, weld in new metal, sand blast, re-finishing/rust proofing labor and parts.

think that sounds reasonable?
