today a truck threw a stone and hit my headlamp, there is the usual damage to the inside portion of the glass lens, and a tiny hole that goes through the glass, what is the best way to seal this to keep moisture and dirt from entering the headlight housing, short of replacing the lens?: i was thinking silicone caulk or epoxy glue? any ideas?i have placed scotch tape over the hole in the interim.

Try to find one off a wreck, they shouldn't nick you too badly. Dennis may even have one off one of the shop spares.

For a temporary fix, I'd try sealing it with clear silicone (like for bathtubs) - should keep the moisture out until you can get the replacement.
